I gave it this name and adapted it, but originally this hot beverage was devised by the award winning Manna vegetarian restaurant in Primrose Hill, London.
Ingredients:
1/8 of cup organic apple juice concentrate
One lovely long cinnamon stick
One clove
Quarter of a peeled orange
Freshly grated nutmeg
Almost boiling water
Method:
Just stir the apple juice and boiling water in the mug. Add the cinnamon stick, and push the orange down on top of the cloves. Grate the nutmeg over the top. Serve.
This winter drink has a smell and taste that is deliciously comforting and uplifting. If you are making it by the teapot full, it is essential to taste the mixture of apple juice and water to make sure it is sweet enough before adding the other ingredients.
